Who we are
Searchi is a trade name of Digital Ave LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Searchi”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers searchi.io, the Searchi Report, the sites we build for clients and the emails we send. Our postal address is [postal address]. Questions about privacy go to hello@searchi.io.
What we collect
- The business you look up: its name and public Google data about it, such as its Business Profile, reviews, rating, website, search rankings and site speed.
- When you unlock a report: your name, email address, mobile number if you give it, your relationship to the business, and the consent choices you make.
- When you become a client: your billing details (card numbers are held by our payment processor, never by us), what you send in the intake form (logo, photos, services, service areas, hours, licence details, domain details) and access to your Google Business Profile if you connect it.
- Your customers' details that reach us through your site or your tools: the name, phone, address, service and photos on a quote or booking request, and the contact details we use to send review requests.
- How you use our site: pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address.
How we use it
- To run your scan, build your report and send you the code and the report by email.
- To send the short series of emails about getting found on Google that follows a report. You can stop them at any time.
- To provide the service to clients: the site, the Google Business Profile work, review requests, lead delivery and the monthly report.
- To bill you, answer you, keep the service secure and stop abuse.
- To understand how people use Searchi and make it better.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers who process data only to provide their service to us, under contract. They are:
- Stripe, for payments and billing.
- Resend, to send email.
- PostHog, for product analytics.
- Google, for business, map, review and site speed data, and for your Business Profile when you connect it.
- Our hosting, database and bot protection providers, to run the service.
- Jobber or Housecall Pro, only if you connect them.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, under this policy.
Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in and keeps an unlocked report open on your device, analytics cookies that tell us which pages are used, and a bot check on the report form. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; signing in and unlocked reports will then need a new code.
Every marketing email we send shows our postal address and has a one-click unsubscribe link. An unsubscribe or a reply stops the series. We act on an unsubscribe straight away and always within 10 business days, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. We still send emails you need, such as sign-in codes, receipts and service notices.
Text messages
We send text messages only if you give us a mobile number and tick the box to agree to them. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. We do not share your mobile number or your text consent with anyone for their own marketing.
For clients: your customers' data
We handle your customers' details on your behalf, to deliver leads to you and send review requests. You confirm you have the right to give them to us and the consent the law needs, for example before we text a customer. Every customer gets the same review request, with no gating and no incentive, and no more than two asks per job.
How long we keep it
We keep report and lead details until you ask us to delete them. Client data is kept while you are a client and deleted 30 days after you cancel, except billing records, which we keep as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask for an export of your data at any time before then.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you. Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have these rights under those laws, including the right to know what we collect and the right not to be treated differently for using them. Send your request to hello@searchi.io. We will confirm who you are before we act, and you can use an authorized agent.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people and systems that need it, and card details stay with our payment processor. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Searchi is a service for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We will post any change here with a new date. If a change is significant, we will email clients before it takes effect. Our terms of service cover the rest of our agreement with you.
